Commemorating former Speaker Bakeer Markar

The All Ceylon Union of the Muslim League Youth Front organised a 95th birth anniversary commemoration of former Speaker Bakeer Markar at the Postal Department Auditorium, Colombo recently.

Chief Guest Education Minister Bandula Gunawardena, Editor of the Sinhala Encyclopaedia Prof. K.N.O. Dharmadasa and Youth Front President Rasheed M. Imtiaz addressed the gathering at the event. Justice Minister Rauff Hakeem, former Deputy Ministers Imtiaz Bakeer Markar and U.L.M. Farook, former MP Shafeek Rajabdeen, Western Provincial Councillor Mujibur Rahuman and Members of the Muslim Organisation were present. Secretary Lukman proposed the vote of thanks.
