CUP embarks on another ‘Little Library’

The concept of ‘Singithi Pothgula’ – ‘Little Library’ – was introduced by Children Upliftment Programme (CUP) in order to improve the reading habits and the creative writing among children.

The ninth ‘Little Library’ project embarked upon by CUP was established at Sri Sugatha Sunday School at Kandewatta, Kegalle. The children of Sri Sugatha Sunday School will become the reader members who would immensely benefit from this little library.

The opening ceremony was held on the 7 April 2011. This project was sponsored with the support of Rani Weerasuria, Dian Gunathilaka and Roshan Gunawardana.

CUP Officials Lal Saranapala, Harsha Gomes, N.T.A. Dissanayake, Saku Godigamuwa, Rasika Udugama, Sasanka, Dilhara Karunarathna and Beverly Saranapala were present on the occasion.
