With the aim of eradicating cancer from Sri Lanka, we cancervive – a non-government organisation – is organising an event to raise awareness about cancer. In addition to the program, the organisation donated Rs. 175,000 worth of medicine to the Maharagama Cancer Hospital recently. President Promod Abeywardena, Vice President Kumudu Abeywardena, Secretary Lasantha Sanjeewa and Advisor S.L. Abeywardena handed over the stock of medicine to Dr. Nishantha Siriwardena of the hospital. The organisation also presented milk powder and other gifts to the Children’s Residential Section in the hospital. Other members of we cancervive also participated in the event
