FADNA Arunella, the health campaign centred on diabetes and diabetes prevention, was held on 28 February at St. Mary’s Church in Maharagama and it was organised by the members of the Church Sunday School.

The event as stated before has been organised every year with the object of raising the public’s awareness about the dangers of diabetes and methods which they can use to prevent it from afflicting their lives. At the forefront of the campaign is Food and Nature Ltd., which has dedicated its main product, FADNA Diabe Tea, to eradicate this health menace in people affected by it, and is the main patron of the event (in conjunction with Derana TV). In addition, the campaign will also focus its energies on highlighting the importance of preventing obesity and being overweight, and to this end will also highlight the importance of consuming healthy food and staying slim and fit.

The Arunella Camp was organised revolving around various events, including free checkups and blood tests conducted by experienced and professional doctors. Awareness campaigns and programs were to be on the top of the agenda as well. Information and advice related to how one could lead a life free from diabetes and obesity was given as well.
