Fashion Bug contributes to rural school infrastructure under Sisu Diri Maga

With the motive of creating a better study environment for children, Fashion Bug, one of Sri Lanka’s leading retail clothing chains with over 16 outlets island-wide, recently took the initiative to construct a separate class unit for Kanthale-based Al-Tharique Junior School.

As part of the company’s continuous CSR activities, the project was completed and handed over to the principal of the school A.P.A. Jawahir and representing on behalf of Fashion Bug were Assistant Marketing Manager S.M. Faham, Senior Manager Riyas Shahabdeen and Marketing Executive Oshada Eragoda.

“Providing the right environment to study is vital to any school. Unfortunately many of them in the rural parts of the country have been neglected for a long time. This type of initiative sets an example of how private organisations and institutions can help contribute effectively even in smaller ways. It does mean the world to children and we feel obliged to be responsible socially,” said Fashion Bug Director Shabier Subian. “We look forward to carry out similar initiatives in the future.”
