Heartfelt gesture from Galadari Hotel

There is always something beautiful and sincere when an organisation decides to get together for a good cause. This was clearly evident when Galadari Hotel’s Engineering Department headed by its Chief Engineer Priyadharshana decided to work towards a goodwill gesture on 22 February.

The hotel’s engineering team reached out to the National Cancer Hospital in Maharagama; this is an annual event organised for the past 15 years. This time their aim was to donate a much needed laparoscopic bipolar forcep. “This surgical instrument will save thousands of lives and we are indeed grateful,” said the hospital’s Gynaecolo-gical Cancer Surgeon Dr. Chintana Hapuachchige. 

In addition to this, the engineering team members also donated dry rations to the nearby temple which is instrumental in providing free meals and lodging facilities to patients and family members travelling from across the country to the hospital. Also medicine was donated to Ward No. 08 as well as the MICU of the hospital.
