HNB Assurance provides drinking water to schools

HNB Assurance, being a provider for schools in need, undertook a project in supplying healthy water systems for two remote schools in Embilipitiya recently. HNB Assurance is an entity that has constantly contributed towards many remote schools island wide for the past few years.



Diyapotha Vidyalaya currently has 175 students studying in this school and the parents of these students are mostly self-employed and cultivators of the region. Weeraba Vidyalaya, another remote school in Embilipitiya, was also provided with a healthy water system.

It is the centre of education for about 500 underprivileged students and deprivation of clean water suitable for drinking has been a main problem the school was suffering with. The respective principals of both Weeraba Vidyalaya and Diyapota Vidyalaya extended their gratitude to HNB Assurance for their contribution towards for the betterment of these children in need.

Lalith Fernando – General Manager Marketing and Distribution of HNB Assurance commissioned the new water projects along with Dilshan Perera – Head of Marketing, A.R.B Salih – Zonal Manager Southern, Madusha Kulathunga – Branch Manager Embilipitiya of HNB Assurance.
