HNB Assurance touching the hearts of Sri Lankans

HNB Assurance unfolds the scope in implementing their strategic Corporate Social Responsibility activities around Sri Lanka in five main areas namely health, sports, community, education and environment. These CSR initiatives have helped thousands of hearts in fulfilling their foremost necessities in life in order to uplift their living standards for a brighter future. In keeping with this HNB Assurance donated its 23rd clean drinking water supply system recently to rural a village school named JRS De Almeida Maha Vidyalaya located in Urumuttha Akurassa. This school has a heritage of 83 years in which they had difficulties in accommodating a drinking water supply for over 500 children and their families. Yet again HNB Assurance has marked their presence on the young hearts and their families residing in this rural village Commenting at the inauguration, Lalith Fernando General Manager – Marketing and Distribution stated, “Clean drinking water is a main need for all human beings. Living in the urban areas we take this facility for granted and there are so many rural villages that are deprived of this facility. With this clean water supply system, we hope to ease the burden of the affected people by improving their health standards and thereby the quality of life of the inhabitants. In addition to the above, another worthy project was undertaken by HNB Assurance to reconstruct the Children’s park in Dombagoda Maha Vidyalaya situated in Thihthagalle Ahangama. This initiative was much appreciated by the children and their families as there was a need for a play area consisting of swings, merry-go-round and other playground accessories. This initiative was reconstructed for the second time by HNB Assurance and well-lit the smiling faces of happy children.
