HNB Grameen moving ahead for protection of children of the nation

Yet another conference of a series of conferences organised by HNB Grameen under the theme of ‘For a Protected Generation of Children’ with a view to enlightening the entire society on child abuses encountered by Sri Lankan children was conducted very successfully in the TCT Hotel premises centred on Jaffna city on 29 January.

Awareness raising hand bills on ‘Prevention of Child Abuses’ printed under instructions of the Sri Lanka Child Protection Authority were distributed through the network of HNB Grameen branches covering all island as the first phase of this program and the awareness raising conferences are its phase two.

HNB Grameen Co. Ltd. which often shoulders social and economic development process in the country is an institution actively contributing to social care activities with a sound understanding of its social responsibility. The series of awareness raising programs under the theme ‘For a Protected Generation of Children’ organised covering the entire island is yet another step of it. The previous conferences of this series of conferences conducted by K. Gauthaman, the veteran orator and the District Psychosocial Officer were held centred on the towns of Nikaweratiya, Chilaw and Moneragala.
