Informatics holds Bodhi Pooja to mark 30 years

The Informatics held a special Bodhi Pooja ceremony recently marking its 30 years of excellence, as a precursor to the main events that are scheduled to take place this year.

The event which was held on 10 January, at the Kalyana Dharmashramaya in Colombo 08, was attended by the Chairman of the group Dr. Gamini Wickramasinghe, Vice Chairman Hasith Wickramasinghe, Group Managing Director Hiran Wickramasinghe and staff members of the organisation.

Informatics was founded in the year 1983 by Dr. Gamini Wickramasinghe who is considered a pioneer in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) industry in Sri Lanka.

The Informatics has diverse business interest in software, hardware, education, agriculture and number of other related businesses.

Currently, Informatics having been in the ICT industry for three decades, is one of the largest ICT companies in Sri Lanka, with a proven track record for developing and delivering innovative quality solutions.

Employing skilled ICT professionals, Informatics is an ISO 9001:2000 and SEI CMMi Level 3 certified Company.

The education wing of Informatics, the Informatics Institute of Technology (IIT) in collaboration with the University of Westminster UK, provides higher education in IT and Management.

Informatics which has a strong presence in Asia Pacific, Middle East and African region that will help in making a substantial investment in Sri Lanka in the years ahead, particularly to introduce new products and to give a facelift to entire operational activities of the company in order to further expand its presence in the global market while increasing its client base in various continents.
