Recently Kanrich Finance Company conducted a program to provide dry rations and water to 1,000 families rendered helpless in the Polonnaruwa district. The people of Polonnaruwa had to suffer great privations due to the drought that continued uninterrupted for several months. This assistance was provided to several selected families in that area. Kanrich Finance Company launched this program entirely because it is an institution that fully understands the hearts of the people and also because this company fully recognises the needs of the people. Kanrich Finance Company Deputy General Manager Eranda Amal Godage who participated in this program, expressed his views: “From the word go, our institution has been an organisation totally devoted to the rendering of assistance to the masses. Helping people is a highly noble activity, especially when we help them at a moment when they are badly affected; that assistance is given quite generously. It is provided without expecting any profit or gain in return. This is a highly moving situation. “We as humans must help each other. But we must help people without expecting anything in return. To be frank we consider it our good fortune that we were able to help our people at this difficult moment. I saw, in the faces of those people who received this assistance, a reflection of their hope. Most of us were able to see the close bond that existed at that time between those people and us. That exactly is our theme slogan – ‘Relationships without Borders’.”
