Kanrich provides clean drinking water to school children in Puttalam

Providing clean drinking water for the students of Thewanuwara Kanishta Vidyalaya, Puttalam is one of the significant CSR projects conducted by Kanrich Finance Ltd.  

The ground water in this area has become brackish since it contains calcium and magnesium which are harmful chemicals for human beings while the inflow of fluoride has aggravated the situation. This has been identified as a root cause for kidney diseases, dental and non-skeletal fluorosis, and doctors have recommended using purified water as a solution for the problem. Kanrich Finance assisted in making this possible by donating a water refining machine which controls the brackishness and fluoride concentrate in the water, while destroying the virus and bacteria in it.  

Representing the higher management of Kanrich Finance Ltd. Dr. K.M.S.B. Rakogama, Executive Director and Shyamini Fernando, Assistant General Manager participated in the launching of this program. The project was successfully launched with the participation of the principal and students of Thenuwara Kanishta Vidyalaya, the parents of the students as well as Kanrich Finance staff members. Representing the Zonal Educational Office, the Peace Education officer too attended the event. The dedication of Kanrich Finance Puttalam Branch Manager Padma Kumara Gamage was specially commended as he played a pivotal role in coordinating the entire project.
