In keeping with the theme of giving, the employees of tech company KBSL Information Technologies Ltd. concluded their annual CSR project last month.

Employees, their families and friends collectively donated furniture, linen, clothes, wheel chairs, dry rations, mosquito nets, mattresses and other essentials to the Meth Sewa Foundation. Donors to sponsor the electricity and water bills for the entirety of 2016 were also found via the employee network of the company. The KBSL welfare committee along with the staff members also hosted lunch at the Meth Sewa Foundation and spent time with the children and adults during their visit.

Employees will also continue to help the foundation. Speaking about this, KBSL CEO Silmy Ahamed said, “CSR is an integral component of KBSL’s DNA and each year we do a collection based community service activity with all our employees. We’re glad to have gotten the chance to see the smiles on their faces when we donated all our gifts to the people at the Meth Sewa home last month.”

Located in Monaragala, the Meth Sewa Foundation is home to 50 children and adults who are differently abled. The non-profit, non-governmental organisation provides shelter free of charge to those in need.
