The launch ceremony of The Islanders, a novel written by Uditha Devapriya, was held recently at the Mahaweli Centre in Colombo. A former student of Lyceum International School, Nugegoda, Uditha is presently studying for his LL.B. at the CfPS Law School and ACCA at Mercury Institute of Management. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Kalakeerthi Edwin Ariyadasa, and the Guest of Honour was Dr. Samitha Samanmalie. Distinguished guests, including some prominent artists, were present at the ceremony.
