The launching ceremony of two Islamic books by SLBC artist and author of several books M.B.M. Mahir was held recently at the Marine Grand Banquet Hall, Colombo recently. The books ‘Asmaaul Husna’ and ‘Islamic Natchinthanai’ are the latest additions to his collection.
Chief Guest of the ceremony Justice Minister Rauff Hakeem praised the author M.B.M. Mahir’s service to Islam and the Muslim community and said that these books are valuable to the Muslims. He also mentioned the Egyptian authors Dr. Saheed Ramalan and Dr. Yoosuf Karlawi for their contribution to Islam. Hakeem requested the Muslim community to be united, in any country whether they are in the majority or minority.
Western Province Governor As Seyed Alavi Moulana, Monitoring MP for Ministry of Mass Media and Information A.H.M. Azwer, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran Dr. Mohammad Nabi Hassani Pour, Jamia Naleemiyah Institution Director Dr. M.A.M. Shukry and Pandicheru Univeristy Lecturer Dr. Gulam Dasthakeer also spoke.
Senior Minister A.H.M. Fowzie, Minister for Productivity Promotion Basheer Segu Dawood, Spiritual Head and Life Patron of the Rifai Thareeq Seyed Mohammed U.P. Ashique Thangal Rifai Moulana and Ulamas were present at this ceremony.
