Lt. Col. (Retd) D.G. Shane Balthazaar elected Burgher Association President

Retired Lt. Col. Shane Balthazaar, was unanimously elected as President of the Burgher Association at the 14th Annual General Meeting held recently at the Dutch Burgher Union, Hall, Colombo 4.

Lt. Col. Balthazaar completed his education at St. Anthony’s College Kandy and served in the Sri Lanka Army for 22 years.

The following members were duly elected as office bearers of the Association.

Office Bearers: President Lt. Col. (Retd.) D.G.Shane Balthazaar, Vice President Shirlene Chiba, Honorary Secretary Dawn De Kretser, Honorary Treasurer Carlyle De Silva, Honorary Assistant Secretary Helen Arnolda, Honorary Assistant Treasurer Johann Rebert.

Executive Committee: Leroy Ferdinands, Steve Morrell, Elrae Pereira, Carlo De Krestser, Christopher Rebert, Ian Silva, Natasha Balthazaar, Liza Nimalachandra (nee Silva).Elected Members of the Board of Directors: Trevor Ludowyke, Hans Beekmeyer, Kevin Lord.
