Markss ‘Wellness Campaign’ spreads wings to Polonnaruwa

Markss Healthcare, one of the fastest growing pharmaceuticals companies in Sri Lanka, organised yet another Continuous Medical Education Programme at the Deer Park Hotel, Giritale.

This event saw the participation of over 25 doctors including the consultant paediatricians, consultant obstetrician and gynaecologists, consultant surgeons, consultant physicians, medical officers and family practitioners in Polonnaruwa District.

The importance of the event was truly accentuated by an informative and a comprehensive presentation made by Dr. Udaya de Silva, Consultant Paediatrician on paediatric emergencies. This presentation was especially important to all the medical officers and family practitioners alike since they encounter such emergencies discussed therein quite frequently in their day to day practice.

Commenting on the event, Dr. S. Mahakalanda said that it is Markss’s aspiration to ensure that its corporate social responsibility is fulfilled to the fullest. He further said that events of this nature not only add value to the Markss ‘Wellness Campaign,’ but also gets the medical practitioners up and about on present day issues.
