Markss Healthcare sponsors Tharunyayata Hetak medical camp

Established with the main objective of uplifting the lives of the youth in the country ‘Tharunyayate Hetak’, under the guidance of its Chairman Minister of Parliament Namal Rajapakse, organised a medical camp in Gorakaduwa of the Kalut-hara District recently.

More than 1,000 needy patients were diagnosed and treated for diabetes, high blood pressure and other general illnesses at the camp.

Markss Healthcare, a leading pharmaceutical company in Sri Lanka provided a fully automated blood pressure monitoring system, with trained staffers to operate the machine. The machine is one of the latest in the world helping the management to identify over 500 patients with hypertension and other related illnesses and was treated accordingly.

The Ports and Highways Project Minister Rohitha Abeygunawardene, Tharunyayata Hetak Medical Director Dr. Chula Senaratne and representatives of Markss Healthcare graced the occasion.

At this juncture Markss Healthcare pledged its assistance in providing quality medical and diagnosing facilities for specialised medical clinics organised by Tharunyayata Hetak, to achieve one of its main objectives, ‘Building a healthier Nation’.

The spokesperson of Markss Healthcare explaining his views on the sponsorship said: “We consider this as an opportunity for our company, because we always look for avenues to help the citizens of Sri Lanka in our CSR projects. The project organised by Tharunyayata Hetak, was a remarkable one, because most of the patients being treated were beyond poverty line.”
