Continuing a centuries old tradition, electrical contracting firm Maxaire (Pvt) Ltd commemorated the historic Poson Poya Day with a Dansala hosted at its premises.  Distributing complimentary cones of ice cream proved a traffic stopper on Isipathana Mawatha as over 2,500 delighted passersby visited the stall in appreciation of the company’s gesture of goodwill. The event was organised by Maxaire’s staff welfare society with the support of its management.  The Dansala was inaugurated together with the company’s neighbours, Chartered Architect Nela De Soysa and Lakshmi Perera, Past President of Sri Lanka Women’s Conference who lit the traditional oil lamp with several other neighbours gracing the occasion.  Residents of the Mallika Home for Elderly Women also participated in the Dansala.  Maxaire plans to continue its relationship with the Home with further acts of kindness in the future. The activity brought together all segments of employees strengthening the bonds between an already close-knit team. A recognised industry leader since 1987, Maxaire is a fully integrated electrical contracting firm, specialising in industrial, commercial, residential apartment complexes, hospitality, health and infrastructure projects.  Recent projects handled by Maxaire include Maliban Garments Factories, Timex Garments Factories, John Keells ‘On Three20’ condominiums, Havelock City Apartments Phase 2, Canowin Arcade Southern Expressway, Millennium Institute of Technology, Shangri-La Hotel Hambantota and Castle Hospital.
