NDB promotes environment literacy in rural schools with Biodiversity and Elephant Conservation Trust

‘Environment’ is one key focus area of the NDB’s sustainability agenda with a focus on internal and external stakeholders. Within this agenda ‘Promoting Environmental Literacy’ is one of the main objectives. Therefore the bank has taken the initiative to promote environment literacy through programs in rural schools in partnership with the Biodiversity and Elephant Conservation Trust (BECT) for the third consecutive year.

This program will be carried out in 100 schools building awareness on environmental conservation including bio-diversity and wildlife whilst creating consciousness towards being a ‘Green Leader’ where the children themselves are encouraged to influence and encourage others to conserve the environment and adopt environmental best practices.
