As the first phase of the relief program initiated by NSB on behalf of the members of the public affected by the recent adverse weather conditions, stocks of bottled drinking water were distributed to people in need of fresh water in identified areas.
Following National Savings Bank Chairman Aswin De Silva symbolically handing over the donations to Deputy General Manager (Marketing) Lal Karunathilaka, arrangements were made to distribute the bottled drinking water among flood victims in the Kalutara District.
Senior Deputy General Manager Jagath Gamanayake, Deputy General Managers, Asst. General Managers, higher management and representatives of all trade unions of the bank were present at this occasion.
As the second phase of the relief program, National Savings Bank expects to provide assistance to develop the schools affected and damaged by floods and aid the education of the children at these schools.
