Overwhelming response to Indian CEO Forum’s Health Camp

The Indian CEO Forum (ICF) successfully completed its first Health Check camp at ‘Lama Horuwa Pre-School’, Aramangolla, Horana, which was auspiciously inaugurated with the lighting of the lamp and religious ceremonies in the presence of the Board members and over 200 people who attended the camp.

Speaking on the occasion, ICF President Sanjay Tiwari reiterated the commitment of ICF to regularly contribute to the well being of people. The next camp will be in the Southern Province and the location will be announced shortly. The comments received by those who attended the camp were very complimentary and appreciative of the service provided by ICF: “This is for the first time we have had a health check up camp being organised in our village and we thank the Indian Companies for helping society,” said Athulya Weerasekara Another patient who came from Galle said, “I was informed by my daughter that a health check up camp was being organised in Horana town and that I should get myself checked, so I travelled from Galle and am very happy to see such an arrangement.” Achini from the village said, “We are very happy to have such camp, organised by the Indian companies. To have blood sugar, blood pressure as well as a general check up, along with the free distribution of essential medicines, is indeed a boon.” A large number of corporate heads from the ICF along with their family members actively participated in the camp. ICF thanked the MOH and the other medical staff from Horana Hospital and the staff from Metropolis Lab at Nawaloka Hospital and the HR team of Piramal Glass Ceylon Plc who helped in the successful arrangement of the camp. The objectives of the Indian CEO Forum are to promote and contribute to the economic growth of Sri Lanka through Indian investment, safeguard and strengthen existing economic co-operation, foster new economic ties between India and Sri Lanka, and provide an open forum for the business leaders of Indian origin employed with Indian multinationals and Sri Lankan Business/Commercial organisations in Sri Lanka. The ICF also endeavours to showcase investment opportunities in Sri Lanka to potential new investors from India. The ICF was launched in July 2013 by Minister of Economic Development Basil Rajapaksa and was formed in recognition of the significant growth of Indian private sector investments in Sri Lanka. ICF is a registered body and its membership is constituted by Indian investments in Sri Lanka, Indian heads of MNCs and Sri Lankan companies
