Panadol, GlaxoSmithKline’s brand of paracetamol, extended its support this year at the Asela Perahera in Kandy through a mobile First Aid service. This is the 10th time Panadol has supported this noble cause.

A mobile team sponsored by Panadol went amongst the devotees to provide relief when needed. The teams provided free basic first aid to devotees, many of whom sit in the hot sun for many hours to be a part of this sacred ritual.

Panadol has been providing free first aid at main religious and cultural events for more than 100,000 Sri Lankans for over 10 years. These include events such as Siripadha, the Madu Church feast, festivals at the Nallur Kovil and during Poson Poya in Anuradhapura, Thanthirimale and Mihinthale.

Pandol has been an integral part of the lives of Sri Lankans for over 50 years. Such initiatives are an essential part of the brand’s efforts to give back to society and provide relief to the people when they need it the most.

Panadol has gained trust over the years due to its safety profile of being gentle to the stomach. Panadol is manufactured to international manufacturing standards and is marketed in over 80 countries.
