People’s Bank sponsors Poson Poya programmes in Anuradhapura

People’s Bank and People’s Leasing Company arranged morning alms for more than 25,000 devotees at Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi commemorating the 2,600th Sambuddha Jayanthi and the 50th anniversary of People’s Bank.

This event was organised for the 27th year.

The staff of People’s Bank and People’s Leasing Limited and the Buddhist Association of People’s Bank contributed towards making the event a success. A ‘Poson Bhakthi Gee’ programme was held at Ruwanweli Seya premises presented by the staff of People’s Bank.

A large number of People’s Bank staff from the North Central, Central, Uwa, Wayamba, Western Region 1 and Western Region 2 participated in this event.

The opening of the rest rooms of the Lankarama Vihara in Anuradhapura under the sponsorship of People’s Bank as well as a Vesak lantern exhibition near the Lowa Maha Prasadha were held the day before Poson Poya.

Chairman of People’s Bank W. Karunajeewa, Director of People’s Bank D.J.D. Jayakodi, CEO/ GM of People’s Bank N. Wasantha Kumar and CEO/GM of People’s Leasing Company D.P. Kumarage, along with a large number of management and staff of People’s Bank, attended the event.
