People’s Bank sponsors a Pilgrims Rest in the premises of St. Anne’s Church Thalawila

With the support of People’s Bank, a Pilgrims Rest was built in the premises of St. Anne’s Church, Thalawila for the welfare of all pilgrims. This fully fledged 6-house Pilgrims Rest was ceremonially declared open recently by the Bishop of Chilaw, His Lordship Devsritha Valence Mendis.

This Pilgrims Rest which is a CSR project of People’s Bank. The inauguration ceremony was organised by the Christian Guild and the Puttlam Regional Head Office of People’s Bank.

The St. Anne’s Church Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Luke Nelson, the Principal of St. Benedict’s College, Rev. Fr. Sylvester Jayakody together with all Reverends in the area, People’s Bank Chairman W. Karunajeewa, Members of the Director Board, Dr. D.J.D. Jayakody, Lakshmi K. Sangakkara, M.T.I.V. Amarasekera, CEO/GM of People’s Bank, N. Vasantha Kumar, Chairman of the Christian Guild of People’s Bank and Deputy General Manager, Srima Arsacularatne, Deputy General Managers, Yohan Soza, Clive Fonseka and Boniface Silva, Assistant General Manager, Sunil De Saram, Puttlam Regional Manager, T.G. Karunaratne together with staff of People’s Bank and their families were present at this ceremony.
