People’s Bank sponsors pilgrim rest at Madhu Church

President Mahinda Rajapaksa handed over a sponsorship cheque for Rs. 5 million from People’s Bank to Mannar Bishop Most. Rev. Dr. Rayappu Joseph to construct a Pilgrims’ Rest at the Madhu Church premises.

The donation was made at Temple Trees yesterday.  Rev. Joseph gifted a three dimensional portrait of St. Mary’s statue to the President as a mark of appreciation. Madhu Church Parish Priest Rev. E. Pillai, Kandy St Benedict’s College Principal Sylvester Jayakody and People’s Bank Director Dr. D.J.D. Jayakody, General Manager N. Vasantha Kumar were also present
