The Restoring the Environment by Promoting Biodegradable Plastic resource project team organised a school awareness program on 28 January at Old Hall, Visaka Vidyalaya, Colombo 04, to educate the students and teachers on the use of polythene and how differently people can protect the environment by using biodegradable bags. A good participation of academics and school children from Visaka Vidyalaya, Gothami Balika Vidyalaya, Viharamahadewi Balika Vidyalaya, Isipathana College and Mahanama College were seen.
