Seylan Tikiri the most popular children’s savings account is proud to have the top performers at the recently concluded year five scholarship examination as Tikiri account holders.
In order to celebrate their success, felicitation ceremonies were organised at the respective schools.
The felicitation ceremony for Sandaru Thathsara Balahewa who came in all-island 1st, was held at Mahinda College Galle under the patronage of Minister of Education Bandula Gunawardane.
Seylan Tikiri awarded Sandaru with a brand new laptop and an exciting array of gifts which included a bicycle, an organ, a video game, an MP 4 player, a remote controlled helicopter and a Tikiri school bag.
The felicitation ceremony for Kavindya Gimhani Malaviarachchi, who was placed all-island 2nd, was held at Subharathi Vidyalaya, Godagama recently. Minister of Education Bandula Gunawardane graced the occasion as the chief guest. The student was presented with a desk top computer and a Tikiri account worth Rs. 10,000 from Seylan Bank.
