Sinhaputhra Finance marks 35th anniversary with blood donation campaign

Sinhaputhra Finance organised a blood donation camp in commemoration of their 35th anniversary at Sinhaputhra head office, Kandy.
Led by the vision, guidance and continuous support of its senior management, Sinhpauthra Finance has completed a string of successful CSR projects so far. The organisation collected 110 pints of blood for the Blood Bank of the General Hospital (Teaching) Kandy.
Guests, customers and employees donated blood between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. The project was organised by Rukmal Wijesinghe with the assistance of the IT & HR divisions of Sinhaputhra Finance.
The Chief Guest at this function Kundasale Police Training Centre OIC W .Weerasekara stated; “Such projects initiated by the Sinhputhra Finance reflects their strong social service consciousness that is inspiring”. He further added; “The blood donated could benefit as many as four times that number of patients, because the blood is separated into its components and a single pint could help multiple recipients.”
A spokesperson of Sinhaputhra said that this exercise is one of the many projects lined up for 2014, and Sinhaputhra’s mission is to continue promoting national responsibility and social awareness.
