Sri Lanka Muslim Ass. of California Ladies Committee donates medical supplies to Cancer Hospital

A ‘Mystique Evening’ for Ladies was held on 25 September 2011, at the La Mirada Golf Club, Los Angeles where the primary goal behind this event was to collect money for the National Cancer Institute in Maharagama, Sri Lanka.

The Organising Committee spearheaded by Chairperson, Zahariya Shariff, Nuzkiya Junaideen, Fathima Buharie, Imrose Salihue, Sha Jayah, Azra Zuhair, Farina Hashim, Minza Sufi Ismail, Azmara Sourjah, Mumtaz Saleh, Ruzna Mantara, and Dolly Musafer put together this successful fund raiser attended by two hundred ladies.

Chairperson Zahariya Shariff personally presented the medicines urgently needed by the Cancer Hospital and handed the supply to Cancer Hospital Director Dr. Kanishka Karunaratna and to Chief Oncologist of the Hospital Dr. J.Balawardane. The picture shows SLMAC Chairperson Zahariya Shariff flanked by the President, CMLU (Ceylon Moor Ladies Union) Sabrina Riyaz and CMLU Secretary Umul Zahid handing over the supply of medicines.
