Standard Chartered Bank eases pilgrims’ progress to Adam’s Peak

The work on the refurbishment of the ascent was completed in time for commencement of the season in December.  Devotees can now find their climb to the summit that much more convenient given the repair made to the steps and pathways.



Standard Chartered Bank is proud of the opportunity afforded to it by the Venerable Dampahala Seelananda Thero, Trustee, Adam’s Peak, to make an endowment of Rs. 5.9 million towards the renovation of the entry pathway from Goluthenne to Rathu Ambalama of the Sri Pada Entry Road.  Adam’s Peak (Sri Padasthanaya), a sacred and holy destination for followers of many world religions, attracts pilgrims from all over the world as well as from Sri Lanka.
