The Kingsbury treats for staff and Vesak spectators in true spirit of hospitality

Capturing the true spirit of the Sri Lankan and Tamil New Year, The Kingsbury Erabadu Mangalya 2017 was held at The Oval on 23 April. 

Organised by The Kingsbury Staff Welfare Society, the full day was lined up with fun filled events such as long distance run, 100m dash, kottapora, kana mutti and tug of war. The Kingsbury Avurudu Kumaraya and Kumari were also chosen. Chief Guest of the event was Hayleys PLC Chairman Mohan Pandithage; also present was Managing Director Lalin Samarawickrama and Director/Head of Sales and Marketing Denesh Silva. 

Vesak spectators of Colombo were given an extra special treat at The Kingsbury Soup Dansala on 12 May. The dansala was opened by Hayleys PLC Chairman Mohan Pandithage and received a tremendous response with over a thousand Vesak goers around the vicinity making their way to enjoy a generous cup of hearty vegetable soup and bread rolls. Capturing the true spirit of Vesak, a special performance was also conducted by the Hayleys bakthi gee singers.
