The total investment behind this donation is Rs. 2.68 million.
Speaking about this project, Unilever Sri Lanka Marketing Manager Sharmila Bandara said, “We have always been committed towards safeguarding and improving the lives of children across the nation. Over a decade ago, we launched the Pears Safe Hands initiative with the goal of creating a safer and healthier environment for children and mothers by improving facilities at maternity, neonatal and paediatric wards in government run hospitals.
“We are extremely happy that organisations such as Unilever have joined us to help provide even better service and care to state owned hospitals. These incubators will definitely assist us in providing essential aftercare for new born infants.” said Dr. Mahipala.
