ZILLIONe assists deserving school in Kalutara

Leading Sri Lankan IT Company, ZILLIONe Systems Solutions has established over 400 outstanding corporate customer relationships in more than 10 countries over the past 34 years.

In commemoration of their 34th year of successful operation, they have reached out to touch the lives of over 2,000 students in the Kalutara District this year, through a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activity to enhance the learning experience of these students.

Obliging to a request made by the Wadduwa Central College Kalutara, that was seeking help to repair the roof of the school, ZILLIONe last year started an e-mail campaign inviting all ZILLIONe members to partake in this project.

With members coming forward to support the initiative, the company visited the college in November last year to discuss the plight of the school with the college Principal Ranasinghe Indrasena.

The company discovered that the school was conducting A/L Science classes outside the classrooms, in the corridor for over one and a half years as it lacked funds to repair the roof above the classrooms.

The science laboratory was also in a dilapidated condition. Some of the school’s best students have left and joined other schools in the area due to this reason.

Coming forward to support this worthy cause, ZILLIONe renovated the roof of the science laboratory and painted the classrooms to create a more enabling learning experience for the students.

At the grand opening ceremony, held recently at the completion of the project, the happy students conducted a school parade and gave a heart warming welcome speech thanking the company for its generosity in facilitating a better environment for the students to conduct their lessons. 

The principle of the school thanked ZILLONe, for its generous assistance which has contributed to the betterment of the entire school.
