NDB Bank recently rewarded 19 students who achieved island ranks and best results at the GCE Advanced Level Examinations 2021 (2022).
The bank awarded Sahan Yasanka Samarakoon (Physical Science), Jayachandran Thuwarajesh (Physical Science), Hansaja Ramith (Physical Science), Thamilwannan Thuwarajesh (Biological Science), Pethmi Amasha Nishamani Jayalath (Biological Science), Disara Sithmika Jayaratne (Biological Science), Ishini Neha Amararathne (Commerce), Rashini Dulya Dias (Commerce), Mohomed Nabawi Mohomed Nihad (Commerce), Ishara Lakmal Heenkenda (Arts), Jihan Sandaruwan (Arts), Sakunthala Sewwandi (Arts), Neranda Dilhara Kumarasingha (Engineering Technology), Pasan Malshan Bandara Rajapathirana (Engineering Technology), Sulakshi Sandunika Govinna (Engineering Technology), Isuri Pabasara Lokupathirage (Biosystems Technology), Darshana Nipun Ariyarathna (Biosystems Technology) and Vishwa Prabhashwara Lansakara (Biosystems Technology) with an NDB Zee Digital Youth Account and cash prize in recognition of their achievement.
Similarly, the bank also recognised Rashmi Nimesha Gunawardhana with an NDB Araliya Women’s Savings Account and cash award for achieving 3As in the commerce stream at the Advanced Level Examinations amidst significant personal challenges and for being an inspiration to all young women.
The event, held at the Ministry of Education auditorium, was graced by Education Minister Susil Premajayantha, State Minister for Higher Education Suresh Ragavahn, Ministry Secretary and staff, school principals, students who received best results and their parents. NDB Senior Vice President Personal Banking and Customer Experience Sanjaya Perera, Vice President Branch Network Zeyan Hameed, Assistant Vice President – Head of Marketing Shiyan Jayaweera, Assistant Vice President – New Product Development Syndey Downall, and NDB product development team represented the bank at the event.
