Lanka Nippon BizTech Institute (LNBTI) last week launched its first-degree programme at KNBTI premises in Maharagama in the presence of Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena and Japanese Ambassador Mizukoshi Hiheaki.
LNBTI is an accredited degree awarding institute for its unique IT degree programme, BSc (Hons) Software Engineering.
LNBTI becomes Sri Lanka’s first and only Japanese Higher Education Institute to feature a Japanese job-oriented programme, approved by the Education Ministry.
The Prime Minister distributed Diploma Certificates to selected few diploma holders of the first batch who will proceed to the degree programme.
The salient feature of the new IT degree programme is that the Japanese private sector employment opportunities will be available for the Sri Lankan students passing out of this university. Furthermore, the IT sector investment opportunities will also be available for them in IT-related programmes in Sri Lanka.
Combining the hallmarks of Japanese culture with a carefully curated degree programme, studying at LNBTI ensures that students are equipped with the necessary skills and training to pursue rewarding career opportunities in the field of IT in Japan.
LNBTI is the only Japanese higher education institute in South Asia to offer quality IT degree programmes with an arrangement of professional and permanent employment in the Japanese IT industry.
The institute’s strong relationship with professional Japanese business counterparts owes in part to the synergies between its parent companies Metatechno Inc, Japan and hSenid Group of Companies, Sri Lanka.
LNBTI Chairman Kogo Michio and Prof. Ananda Kumar and other dignitaries were present on this occasion.
