Advantages of following the SLIIT MBA 

The two year duration of the program is divided into eight terms with the first year comprising of four terms and each term containing 10 weeks of lectures and workshops. It is also the most effective course of study with 69 credits, which is over and above a standard MBA program. The study material makes it ideal for professionals who wish to excel in their career or academics in pursuit of conducting research based studies as the program includes a research dissertation in the second semester. It also includes a one week workshop at the Carelton University in Ontario, Canada renowned for innovation in research, teaching and learning. 

 

Course content

An extensive survey was conducted by SLIIT prior to deciding on the course content which consists of subjects which are timely, relevant and have a practical and theoretical implication. 

The subjects offered during the first term are Management and Organisation Behaviour, Marketing Management, Business Economics, while the second term includes Financial and Management Accounts, Management Decision Analytics, Human Capital Management, Business Communication. 

The third and fourth terms have four modules each; Corporate Finance, Operation and Supply Chain Management, International Business, Research Methodology, Management Information System, Strategic Management, E- Business and Independent Business Studies. 

The second year commences with the first term which has Entrepreneurship Business Leadership, Project Management, Business Negotiations and Service Marketing. During the second term students follow Contemporary Business Management, Corporate Governance Business Ethics, Technology Management for Competitiveness and Investment and Portfolio Management. 

At the end of each term students have to face an examination with the results being released within 10 days without delays or postponements. 

The final evaluation is based on a research based dissertation conducted by the students with the expert guidance of lecturers who are assigned for each student. 

Moreover, flexibility enables students to opt to follow the program with another batch in case they are unable to complete the program as scheduled.
