The SLTC Research University (Sri Lanka Technology Campus) has taken a significant step towards enhancing student career prospects by partnering with XpressJobs, a leading job portal in Sri Lanka.

This collaboration aims to facilitate internship opportunities for SLTC students, leveraging XpressJobs’ expertise and platform to streamline the internship placement process.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed on 1 August by XpressJobs COO Dr. Oshadie Korale, representing XpressJobs, and SLTC Vice Chancellor Prof. Veranja Karunaratne establishes a strategic platform where SLTC students can explore curated internship vacancies across various industries. This initiative not only supports students in securing valuable internship experiences during their academic journey but also positions them favourably for future career opportunities post-graduation.

This initiative, branded as the “Internship Vacancies”, integrates seamlessly into SLTC’s Learning Management System (LMS) and official website, providing students easy access to a curated list of internship opportunities across various industries.

“We are excited to launch this initiative with XpressJobs to support our students in securing valuable internship experiences,” said SLTC Chief Strategist Officer Chathura Kotagama. “Internships are pivotal in bridging academic learning with real-world applications, and through this collaboration, we aim to empower our students with practical skills and industry exposure.”

The “Internship Job Page”, powered by XpressJobs, will serve as a centralised hub where SLTC students can discover internships tailored to their fields of study and career interests. This strategic integration not only enhances accessibility but also ensures that students receive guidance and support throughout their internship journey.

“We are proud to partner with SLTC in equipping students with internship opportunities that align with their career aspirations,” said Dr. Korale. “Our platform’s user-friendly interface and extensive network of employers will enable SLTC students to explore diverse internship roles and kick-start their professional journeys.”

SLTC students can begin exploring internship opportunities by visiting the dedicated “Internship Job Page” on the SLTC website, powered by XpressJobs.
