Japan has one of the fastest growing economies in the world and is considered to be one of the best countries to live and work in. However, as Japan enters an era of falling birthrates, an aging society, and a shrinking population, there has been a rapid decrease in the labor population, and concerns have been raised over the past three decades about Japanese industries facing a critical shortage of skilled engineers.

With this in mind, Metatechno Japan, together with hSenid International has opened the Lanka Nippon BizTech Institute (LNBTI), a Japanese-based technology university, to cater to this demand of specialised professionals offering high-quality Software Engineering and Information Technology related studies and Japanese language classes.

One of the main advantages of studying at the LNBTI is the potential of securing immediate employment opportunities in Sri Lanka, Japan and other countries in the region. This is possible due to the highly regulated Japanese quality business culture courses, and its Higher IT curriculum that has been formulated to supply industry ready professionals to the Japanese and Sri Lankan related IT industry market.

The Lanka Nippon BizTech Institute will be offering scholarships up to 50% for students under its LNBTI Japanese Scholarship Scheme. These scholarships will be offered to students pending A/L results and other academic achievements and financial requirements.

Catering to the need of qualified business-centric graduates for the evolving ICT industry,  the newly opened LNBTI is the perfect opportunity for students to qualify and get employed in reputable organisations, in Sri Lanka, Japan or the region.

Founded in partnership with Metatechno Japan, a company that specialises in developing Embedded Software for Electronics and Computing devices manufacturers around the world, and hSenid International, an application and service provider for the telecom, financial and enterprise markets, the LNBTI offers a wide range of information and communication related study programmes that are created specifically for industry-centric purposes.

Apart from the courses, students enrolled at the LNBTI must sit for the Japan government-required Language Proficiency Test and Fundamental Information Technology Engineer Examination to complete the course.

This training programme is focused on improving four language skills – reading, writing, speaking and listening.  Starting from the alphabet, LNBTI hopes to provide a thorough knowledge on Japanese used in the corporate structure. This programme also targets the Japanese Language Proficiency Test – N2 level, which is an added qualification when finding a job in a Japanese company or entering a university in Japan for higher studies.

The Japanese-Language Proficiency Test, Nihongo Nōryoku Shiken or JLPT, is a standardised criterion-referenced test to evaluate and certify Japanese language proficiency for non-native speakers, covering language knowledge, reading ability and listening ability.

Located on the main High Level Road in Maharagama, the resources at the LNBTI are of the highest quality and meet international standards, designed and constructed by Japanese experts.

The LNBTI lecture rooms, labs and all other resources provide an optimum learning environment for those pursuing their higher education in IT. With high quality audio and video facilities, computer hardware and software, internet facilities, libraries and furniture, this institution facilitates a purely interactive environment for the students.

The LNBTI has also introduced a unique set of courses to develop the personalities of students along with the ability to be logical thinkers, improve time management, encourage team play and leadership qualities, as well as good communication skills.

Students are encouraged to apply immediately as the first year is scheduled to begin in October 2016.

Application forms can be downloaded through the LNBTI website or Facebook page free of charge. For more information, call the LNBTI hotline number 0773360000 or email [email protected].
