Untitled-1 Untitled-2 Untitled-3Since its inception in 2006, Achievers Lanka Business School has revolutionised the education sector, introducing game-changing products to Sri Lankan students. The institute is recognised as a leading institute for CIMA in Sri Lanka, and Achievers Lanka Business School once again made history, entering into an agreement with BPP Professional Education based in UK. The agreement recognises Achievers Lanka as the exclusive partner of BPP Professional Education, allowing the institute to deliver blended learning courses for the CIMA Professional Qualification.

This product is the first of its kind to be introduced in Sri Lanka. “We were looking for a new partner to join and enhance our quality of education,” said Achievers Lanka Business School Chairman Ravi Edirisinghe, addressing a gathering of colleagues from Achievers Lanka and BPP, students of Achievers Lanka as well as members of the media, “We are delighted to be working with BPP to deliver blended learning CIMA courses, allowing students to not only study in the classroom but also remotely via BPP’s award winning Online Classroom.”

Blended learning incorporates elements of the modern digital age, where everything from the way we learn to the way we work has changed. Blended learning is rapidly becoming a popular method of delivery throughout the world, supporting and enhancing existing teaching techniques. It combines elements of interactive teaching with greater variety and flexibility, responding to the needs of the student. Over the years BPP has built up a reputation for excellence, producing a number of students who have gone on to win top world prizes at CIMA.

Achievers Lanka Business School Managing Director Faris Ismail, who also addressed the gathering, spoke of the number of advantages that Sri Lankan students would gain through the blended learning program, stating that as BPP now has an university and caters to different sectors including law, healthcare, marketing and HR and accountancy. CIMA students in Sri Lanka can now use BPP’s online learning materials in their classrooms at Achievers Lanka Business School, making use of the blended learning approach. Moreover, they can also study with BPP’s award winning Online Classroom from the comforts of their own homes. The BPP Momentum online learning platform will be an ideal tool for self-study to the students.

Sri Lanka is the largest market for the CIMA Professional Qualification outside of the UK, one of the key reasons for why BPP elected to form the partnership with Achievers Lanka Business School, according to International Sales Director of BPP Professional Education Simon Morris. Addressing the gathering, he also mentioned that Achievers Lanka Business School has a vision that complements that of BPP Professional Education. Prior to the conclusion of the event, Achievers Lanka Business School also recognised the two students from the institution who were ranked second and ninth in the world for Integrated Case Study exams at the March 2016 CIMA exams.
