The Chief Guest Simon Creasey, Country Exams Manger, Assistant Director advised to “continue reflecting upon yourselves, building your strength and cultivating your hearts while trying to strike a balance, so you can feel other people’s pain and social problems with due sensitivity, and thereby contribute to society as a person equipped with both knowledge and a strong heart as well as lead lives pondering the border between “fiction and reality.”

Dr. Thilaka Weerakoon , Director Education IIHE addressing the students stated that this was a time to reflect upon the three-year journey that has just finished, which represents what at times, has been one the most challenging and rewarding experiences of their lives as they start their journeys as the custodians of the nation’s youth and future, whilst the CEO of IIHE in her speech encouraged the newly passed out graduates to uphold the high standards of the institute and to go forth with confidence and pride with the knowledge that they were armed with a globally renowned qualification that has an acceptance both locally and internationally.

As one of Sri Lanka’s leading provider of quality higher education, IIHE has so far produced over 200 top graduates and professionals across a range of degrees from information technology, business management, accounting and finance and business and tourism management, offering a multi-disciplinary approach that represents the future of global education.

IIHE has been associated with the University of Wales since 1996, offering their internal degrees that promote quality education in Sri Lanka, acting as a “360 degree knowledge hub”. The establishment’s bachelors course students are most often recruited on premise by recognised corporates in Sri Lanka, prior to completion of their final exams; a fact that highlights the demand for and capabilities of those passing out from IIHE. This is a true testament for the curriculum of the MBA degree that has been designed to offer an overall and practical understanding of management requirements allowing for strategic decision making in the competitive world.

This year’s convocation stood as a testament to not only the many achievements of IIHE students’ performances, but also to the institute’s commitment to moulding the best graduates in the industry and in playing a pivotal role in producing top notch graduates who are holding key positions in the industry and contributing to the success of their organisations and the business landscape of the country.
