Minist er o f Education of Sri Lanka Akila Viraj K a r i y aw a s a m met with Korean De puty Prime M i n i s t e r a n d M i n i s t e r o f Education Lee Joon Sik and t h e P re s i d e n t o f the Ko r e a I n t e r n a t i o n a l C o o p e r a t i o n Agency (KOICA) I n S h i k K i m , recently in Seoul. D i s c u s s i o n s f o c u s e d o n Korea’s continuing cooperation in the fields of ICT development and e-learning, as well as KOICA’s support to establish a National Teacher Training College for technology subject streams in Sri Lanka. D u r i n g t h e visit, Minister K a r i y aw a s a m also inspected a Smart Class Room in the Ithaewon E l e m e n t a r y S c h o o l i n Seoul. Minister K a r i y aw a s a m who was accompanied by senior of ficials of the Sri Lankan Mi n i s t r y o f Education, undertook the visit on the inv i t a t ion of the Gwangju M e t r o p o l i t a n O f f i c e o f E d u c a t i o n . The Sri Lanka Embassy in Seoul also faci l i tated the visit
