Desamanya Prof. M.T.A. Furkhan has donated 1 million worth of computers and multimedia projectors to Amal International School recently for the use of students and teachers. Professor Furkhan ardently advocates English Medium education in Sri Lanka and he is very much enthusiastic in the development of IT education throughout the island. Amal International School , pioneer in providing education based on National Curriculum in English Medium Education has been in its service for the last 25 years. Presently the student population of more than 1,000 students most of whom hail from lower middle class families gain education at the school. Amal International School received this donation fulfilling the pledge he made at the Founders’ Day celebrations held in the school recently. The professor’s benevolent gesture is well acclaimed by the students, teachers, parents and the Board of Directors of the school.
