Lanka IOC’s XtraPremium 95 Petrol, Lanka Super Diesel now Euro 4 standard

In line with Government directive, Lanka IOC has made available Euro 4 emission standard fuels XtraPremium 95 Petrol (Euro 4) & Lanka Super Diesel (Euro 4) through its island wide retail network with effect from 2nd July 2018.

As a responsible petroleum retailing company Lanka IOC has always tried to provide eco friendly fuels in the country. Our premium branded fuels, XtraPremium 95 Petrol, Lanka Super Diesel & Xtra Mile have always been a step ahead to ensure better environment friendly fuels. The Euro 04 level petrol and diesel limit the vehicle’s toxic gas emissions to attain a cleaner, breathable air while giving improved engine performance to the vehicle. While the effects on the environment are disturbing, the causes on our health is much worse.

Upgrade to Euro 4 reduces the toxic sulfur from 500 PPM to now 50 PPM (parts per million) in case of Xtra Premium 95 Octane Petrol. Similarly other pollutants e.g. Lead Content & Benzene are also drastically reduced, thus ensuring cleaner air. These are significant differences in terms of nature preservation, as well as for our wellness.

Lanka IOC PLC Managing Director Shyam Bohra said: "We are always in readiness to launch cleaner and greener fuels whenever better fuel standards are implemented by government. We always support government of Sri Lanka in its endeavor to provide greener fuels in the country. As and when government desires, we can launch Euro 4 standard fuels in the other fuel categories i.e. 92 Octane Petrol & Lanka Auto Diesel also."
