Binendri Perera’s novel ‘Her Truth’ tells the story of a young woman’s quest to reveal the truth about police injustice she suffered during the pro-democracy protests of the fictional land of Tarusti. The story also follows the journeys of multiple characters who are part of a generation fighting for democracy and better governance. ‘Her Truth’ resonates with the younger generations of many democratic countries today, including Sri Lanka. Its publication by Alcove Publishers, a renowned publishing house in India, shows the appeal of ‘Her Truth.’
