Celebrating Generation Yes! – Born #1, Still #1!

Sri Lanka’s No. 1 Hit Music Station reaches its ultimate milestone this year. Having dominated airwaves since 1993, Yes101 turned a cool 25 on 10 December, making this the most festive outdoor broadcast ever.

Achieving this milestone wouldn’t have been possible without the relentless commitment and efforts of the very pioneers of The Capital Maharaja Organisation, including the continuous support of Chairman R. Rajamahendran and most importantly, the listeners who continue to cherish the brand since its inception.

The Big 25 Celebrations began with a ceremonial cake-cutting during The Morning Fix with D&A which was attended by Managing Director Sashi Rajamahendran, Group Directors Pradeep Maharaja, Nedra Weerasinghe, Shanthi Bhagitharan and Chevaan Daniel; all of whom took over the airwaves to share a few words of appreciation.

Echelon Square was abuzz as the day’s events continued late into the evening with exciting promos and endless cash giveaways. Listeners who’ve been ardently following Yes101 for years came over to share their wishes. Moreover, former presenters and members of Yes101 were also invited and featured on-air, making this a truly momentous 25th anniversary.
