Dialog Axiata PLC, Sri Lanka’s premier connectivity provider, has announced its partnership with Netflix, the world’s leading internet entertainment service. This partnership will enable all Dialog postpaid mobile customers to simply add their Netflix subscription fee to their monthly mobile bill, offering them unparalleled convenience and security. This direct billing feature eliminates the need for Dialog customers to share any additional payment details such as their credit card or debit card numbers.

Dialog postpaid mobile customers will also be entitled to free 5GB data every month, to watch their favourite Netflix shows and films in high definition. To avail these benefits, and enjoy unlimited, ad-free entertainment on any internet connected mobile phone, laptop, desktop, tablet, or television, Dialog postpaid customers are required to sign-up for or sign in to Netflix using their Dialog postpaid mobile number.

More than 139 million Netflix paid members in over 190 countries enjoy TV series, documentaries and feature films across a wide variety of genres and languages including Hindi, English, Tamil and many more. Viewers in Sri Lanka will also be able to download their favourite shows and films on their phones to continue watching Netflix on-the-go, without an internet connection.

Speaking on the launch Dialog Axiata PLC Senior General Manager – Global and Content Services Mangala Hettiarachchi said, “Our partnership with Netflix gives our customers access to their stellar catalogue of original and licensed content, thereby strengthening the content portfolio offered by Dialog ViU. Dialog customers can now watch the best of content available on Netflix on the best video network in Sri Lanka ad free-anytime, anywhere, and on any Internet-connected screen. Customers can activate the service on their mobile and watch on any screen including their Smart Television.”

Netflix South Asia Director – Business Development Abhishek Nag said, “Mobile continues to be a major driver for video consumption all across the world, including in Sri Lanka. We are delighted to partner with Dialog Axiata to enable consumers to watch our award-winning TV shows and films on their amazing mobile and broadband networks and introduce a single monthly mobile bill as a convenient way to pay for Netflix subscription.”
