Dialog Broadband Networks Ltd. (DBN), a fully-owned subsidiary of Dialog Axiata PLC, Sri Lanka’s premier connectivity provider, announced the launch of EventTags, a feature-packed digital event management platform to help transition traditional events towards digital to fit the modern-day consumers.
For the modern event organiser, managing the registration process, delivering invites, managing RSVPs, marking attendance, and handling payments are amongst the most challenging tasks of coordinating any event. In situations where many events take place on the same day, having the flexibility to handle attendees as required becomes crucial.
Furthermore, some events require pre-authorisation or prior registration of attendees, while in other scenarios, organisers require privacy, confidentiality and discretion among the participants, organisers and speakers – especially when sharing feedback and presentation materials. At present, with security on everyone’s minds, managing the event participants and their data effectively becomes challenging.
EventTags offers event-organisers a feature-packed digital event management platform, with a web-based management console and smartphone apps for participants to tackle the complexities of managing attendees from content discovery, invitations, sign-up and registration, access control and push-notifications with live event updates. The EventTags mobile app provides event attendees with a fully digital experience when interacting with event organisers. The end-to-end digital experience also eliminates paper usage by allowing the user to update all types of information on the platform.
Additionally, the admin of the app will be informed of the exact number of attendees for the event and arrange other facilities accordingly, avoiding wastage and ensuring efficient time management. Payments functions are also integrated into the platform to allow event organisers to collect payments and fees directly from attendees, thereby simplifying the payment process.
Commenting on the EventTags platform, Computer Emergency Readiness Team Coordination Centre (CERT) Chief Executive Officer Lal Dias said, “We were the first to use this product, powered by Dialog Enterprise. And, we were highly impressed with the unique and powerful features of the EventTags platform, which enabled us to coordinate and handle attendees with ease, for a series of events organised for the Cyber Security Week 2019, held in Colombo from 7th to 15th October, with a participation of over 500 professionals and students representing the country’s leading business entities and higher education institutions.”
“With this app, major predicaments confronted by event management professionals will be addressed to a great extent. Controlling and monitoring the attendees to an event is no easy task and is a cumbersome process. Most of the bottlenecks in the processes can also be negated incrementally, as a result. We believe this mobile app will be a remedy for all afflictions in the event management processes, and we invite event management practitioners to get the maximum output of the product to better their flow of work,” he further added.
Customers can experience this digital event experience by downloading the EventTags app from the Google App Store or the Apple App Store.
