The Alumni Association of the University of Peradeniya, Colombo Chapter will present a special event featuring the felicitation of veteran artist Nissanka Diddeniya alongside the staging of the Sinhala drama ‘Sindukara Kavinaluwa’ on Friday 10 January with two shows at the Namel Malani Punchi Theater, Borella, Colombo 8.
Directed by Prof. Mangala Senanayake, with an exceptional cast, including Nissanka Diddeniya, Prassannagith Abeysuriya, Rathna Nalani Jayakody and other veteran artists.
A special show for children will be at 3:30 p.m. and the public show with the felicitation ceremony will start at 6:30 p.m.
Alumni Association of the University of Peradeniya, Colombo Chapter President Priyath Cabral said that the association expects to raise funds for various projects initiated by the association for conducting welfare activities that will benefit the students of University of Peradeniya as well as fellow alumni and general public.
