The Imports Section of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce will be having its flagship event for its members on Friday 19 October. This year, the association has planned to have a gala dinner dance at the Grand Ballroom at Waters Edge, Battaramulla.
Recognised as the voice of the importers of Sri Lanka and playing a pivotal role in the country’s economy, the association is proud to have been of service to the nation’s’ local trade and manufacturing industries for the past 83 years, whilst serving as a common platform for interaction between the industry’s key players such as shipping agents, freight forwarders, regulators and border agencies.
Import Section Chairman Nishan Nanayakkara stated that the annual fellowship for the members was a much-awaited event in the Chamber calendar and that the members will be entertained this year by two of the most popular bands The Gypsies and Black. Among a host of other activities, there will be many prizes and surprises on offer for all the participants.
“It is envisaged that industry leaders and top officials will grace this occasion and unwind amidst their busy schedules. This also provides the opportunity for its members, their family and friends to come together at an evening that promises great entertainment, song, dance and networking.”
Whilst thanking the sponsors, Nanayakkara said that by partnering the importer community at this gala event the sponsors would have an ideal opportunity to gain trade attention and much publicity.
